Planning

Coordinating care & support – working with service users to ensure the best outcomes
Supporting admin – helping Field Care Supervisors with medication, finance, health & safety
Upholding our quality standards – in everything we do

Personal Care

Promoting dignity, self-esteem and choice – treating service users as individuals
Helping service users reach their goals – developing a plan
Assisting with personal care needs – washing, dressing, cooking & shopping
Administering medication – undertaking medication training

Care provided is not expected to include tasks that would normally be expected to be undertaken by a trained nurse.

Team building

Communicating effectively – keeping in touch with service users and the wider team
Building great relationships – organising, planning & leading team meetings
Mentoring & supporting – being a role model to team & service users

You don’t need qualifications to apply for our Senior Support Worker job, but you do need experience working with adults with learning disabilities. We’ll also support you to complete your Diploma level 2 or above in Health and Social Care.

You also need the right to work in the UK and will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
